Surgical apparel is an essential component of operating room hygiene, serving to protect both medical staff and patient safety. It is worn in the operating room and typically includes sterile surgical gowns, surgical trousers, caps, face masks, gloves, and, if necessary, shoe covers and protective eyewear. The careful selection, correct application, and proper disposal or reprocessing of this clothing are crucial for effective infection prevention in the operating room.
